It's 6:15 and Gary is asleep in the recliner. We've had another great day. Granny and Scott stayed through lunch and Jeremy was able to join us. He stayed much longer, and we all had a great visit.
It really has been a good week. (Now that's a picture of where we are when a good week includes two visits to the dentist's office for procedures! :-) We appreciate and enjoyed the company. The timing was just right for that. Unfortunately visits can sometimes be draining and challenging. Everyone has been so kind about calling first, and we are learning to say "now is not a good time". I thank you all for giving us that option. Please do not decide that you can't or shouldn't come for a visit because Gary is not up to it. Each day is different, so just give us a call anytime you are in the area. Good days need to be shared.
Since chemo is next week, we will be away from the house a lot, and I don't figure Gary will be feeling well. He certainly didn't with the last round, but these doctors do have a way of treating side effects, now that we know what could be a problem. I plan to ask the oncologist tomorrow what he will be doing differently!
Thanks again for sharing and our best wishes to all you students returning to school.
Vallie and Terry - empty nest does turn out to be a good thing! ENJOY.
Love to all, Robbi

Hi Gary & Robbi
It's Sunday night and Greg & I are back from a day seeing the sights in Niagara Falls Canada & have a full day planned tomorrow.
I'm glad that Scott & Aunt Lucy got to spend a few days with you and that you have a good week. We are continuing to pray & appreciate this blog & you being able to update everyone.
Love ya

Hi Gary,
As Patsy said, we're enjoying Niagara Falls for a couple more days - what an awesome site. As we sat in the restaurant today overlooking the falls I was reminded of God's incredible power and His fingerprints in all that He created and...that includes you! We'll continue to keep your name in front of our Father, especially this next week as you go through another round of treatments.
Greg
Hey R&G,
Just catching up on the blog from the weekend. We had a great time, but I was exhausted last night. Hope this doesn't mean I'm getting old!
I'm so glad you had a good weekend. I know Gary is worn out. I am praying this week goes well. Hang in there guys. We love you so much. Wish there was something we could do physically to help.
We will probably try to come over after we get Tara moved in next week. I will talk to you between now and then.
Dixie had a blast with Owen. She got enough every once in a while, but in general they had a good time. Owen picked up on the ball throwing pretty quickly. Had to hide the dog toy, though. He seemed to understand that the ball was Dixie's but wanted to put the dog in his mouth. What fun.
Love ya

Glad to hear about the good weekend! We had a great thunderstorm with hail and wind. It looked like snow covering the ground for a couple of hours. Dropped the temperature 25 degrees from 85 to 60. We really need the water so we are GLAD. Garden pretty much done after the hail. Life is doing good. Love you guys. Debby
